Embedded real-time operating system software secures military mission-critical data from growing threats

From:  Military & AeroSpace Electronics

COMMENT - As you read down you find out it is Green Hills Software and INTEGRITY Global Systems who are the eager suppliers of this War Technology.  " David Kleidermacher, chief technology officer of Green Hills Software and Integrity Global Security LLC in Santa Barbara, Calif., is involved in “a firestorm of activity surrounding virtualization, and adding the ability to run Linux and Android on top of [Green Hills’] RTOS. In many ways, this is the future of the RTOS -- being able to handle mixed criticality requirements that include security, safety, and real-time critical applications alongside increasing requirements for rich multimedia and connectivity, app stores, GUIs, etc.”"

The present direction for war has turned war-based corporations into the equivilent of small nations who, in exact parallel with the de Rothschilds, are making money from both sides.  "Why don't you guys fight?" said the scraggy Dan O'Dowd from the sidelines, smiling at the huge profits accruing to him personally.

TECHNOLOGY FOCUS, 30 March 2012. The adoption of secure real-time operating system (RTOS) software and related embedded computing security software tools for military embedded systems continues to grow, driven by increased security threats and concerns, real and perceived.

Many pundits agree that the need for information security, especially for critical and classified data, as well as the computing and data storage systems on which it resides, has never been greater. Industry has responded with myriad innovations designed to deliver security and protection at not only the system level, but also at the embedded, component level.

“There is no single architecture, product, or capability that can protect against a continuously evolving threat landscape,” cautions Chip Downing, senior director of Aerospace & Defense at Wind River in Alameda, Calif. “Today’s connected systems need to integrate a wide range of capabilities to achieve continuous security in hostile network environments. Layered, proven security components, along with capabilities to update these system components, need to be integrated to enable continuous application and service availability, while maintaining the required security capability.”  Much More

Northrop Grumman moves to next phase of DARPA laser weapons-based missile-defense program

From:  Military & AeroSpace

COMMENT - You see what the Corporate War for Profits is costing Americans in the number of food banks now failing to keep up with demand.  Of course, if you live and work in Santa Barbara for either Green Hills Software or Integrity Global Security you can keep the illusions going.  For a little longer.

ARLINGTON, Va., 26 Nov. 2014. Laser weapons experts at the Northrop Grumman Corp. Aerospace Systems segment in Redondo Beach, Calif., are moving forward with a military research program to use lasers for defending manned and unmanned military aircraft from heat-seeking missiles.

Officials of the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) in Arlington, Va., announced a $20.2 million contract to Northrop Grumman on Friday for the second phase of the DARPA Project Endurance to develop laser weapons to defend aircraft from electro-optical and infrared (EO/IR)-guided surface-to-air missiles.

Late last year DARPA awarded a $14.6 million contract to Northrop Grumman for the first phase of Project Endurance. Also receiving a phase-one contract for the program was the Lockheed Martin Mission Systems and Training segment in Akron, Ohio.

NEWS RELEASE and Commentary

From:  PR Wire

COMMENT -  First excuse me for neglecting posting here for some time.  I was busy with other matters which actually have a direct relationship to the unbridled greed and lack of conscience exhibited by War Contractors. (Although they changed the name of the Department long ago "War" was actually more accurate, as one realizes as soon as the matter is mentioned.)

Now, Nigel clearly moved on from Green Hills Software, Inc., and probably was aware of the close, nay, incestuous relationship between Dan's Main Money train and INTEGRITY Global Security.  But I wonder if Nigel could enlighten us on a curious issue which came up a few months ago when I was Googling INTEGRITY Global Security, LLC

INTEGRITY Global Security is one of the multiplicity of companies and corporations where  Dan is piling up the product of his unbridled and unprincipled greed.  I say one because when I went poking around I found many more.  Those do not appear to be openly owned by Dan.

Remember, Dan's sole ambition is to be wealthier that Bill Gates and this could well be his strategy for achieving that goal while remaining largely anonymous.   Clever Dan!

Bill and Warren Do Bomb Trains Together!

See Koch Truths for our own special version of Kenny Roger's The Gambler, dedicated to Bill and Warren.

Of course, Bill has clearly enjoyed his notoriety.  Sort of.

But I digress.  I also found another company using the same name, minus the CAPS on INTEGRITY, which claimed to be incorporated in Nevada.  At the bottom of the site the text read, " © 2013 Dragon Master Security, LLC DBA Integrity Global Security."

Their kind of security has nothing to do with Software.  Check it out.  So, Dan, is this Integrity Global Security another acquisition?   We eagerly await your response.

And say "hi" to Nigel for us if he is actually still working for you. One never knows when Dan has his eye on the Gold.

Exposed: Pentagon Funds New Data-Mining Tools To Track and Kill Activists, Part I

From:  Occupy

COMMENTS - This is a must-read article.  Note that:  Arizona State is officially an NSA-designated university and more about the tools which will be applied to Americans, and for which we pay more contractors to develop.  Look for subsection, "When Data Mining leads to Drone Strikes."  Links to Parts I & II of IV are below.  III and IV will be posted as they appear.

by Nafeez Mosaddeq Ahmed

The U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) is funding a multimillion dollar university research program to develop new data mining and analysis tools for the U.S. military intelligence community to track political radicalism among British Muslims and other activist groups around the world.

Leading intelligence experts including former National Security Agency (NSA) official Thomas Drake – the whistleblower who inspired Edward Snowden – confirm that the tools are designed to enhance the intelligence community’s capabilities to identify potential terrorism suspects that could face a range of sanctions, from surveillance to no-fly injunctions to, at worst, being targeted for extrajudicial assassination via the CIA’s "kill lists."

But, they say, inherent flaws in the program are instead likely to facilitate the criminalization of political dissent and the targeting of innocent civilians – and that such trends are increasingly likely to affect not just "hostile theatres" abroad, but even domestic populations in the U.S., Britain and Europe.  MORE

Memo Justifying al Awlaki Assassination Does End-Run Around the US Constitution

From:  Activist Post

COMMENT - What does being an American mean to people who profit from tyranny?  Hope your 4th of July was lots of fun, Green Hills Team.

Janet Phelan
Activist Post

In response to a Freedom of Information Request filed by the ACLU, the Department of Justice this week released the memo providing legal analysis in support of justification for the 2011 assassination of Anwar al Awlaki, a US national living in Yemen.

Al Awlaki, who was born in New Mexico, was a Muslim cleric considered to be in a leadership position in Al Qaeda. He was killed in a targeted drone strike in Yemen, after Obama placed him on the targeted assassination list in 2010. The fact that President Obama had taken the unprecedented step of ordering the assassination of a US citizen was repeatedly highlighted in the press. The ACLU went to court to attempt to inhibit the assassination, albeit unsuccessfully.

The DOJ memo, authored by David Barron, is a compelling study in government double speak. Large chunks of the memo were redacted before its release, with approximately ¼ removed from public purview.

What was made available to the public delves into the legal inhibitions which might come into play with a targeted government murder of a US citizen. Title 18 Section 1119 of the US Code is referenced repeatedly, and the prohibitions against murder contained in this section resolved essentially due to the invocation of “public authority.” MORE

US, fess up to drone killings!

From:  RBN

COMMENT - A picture is worth a thousands words

By RMN

The White House administration continues to deny its drone program is a violation of human rights that kills innocent civilians. We’ve seen evidence from countries affected directly, outrage from the international community, and now protests from American organizations including Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch. What’s it going to take to get it through the US’ thick skull that its drone program is a blight upon the planet? The Resident (aka Lori Harfenist) discusses.

Spy Drone lobbyists and a WSJ propaganda piece

From:  Battery Park

COMMENT - Actually, if private people, AND corporations, were allowed to have drones, for which they would have to be entirely accountable, this would result in limitations on their the use of drones.  Of course, the personal drones are smaller, used mostly for photography so, perhaps the personal liability would become an addition on their homeowners insurance.   Corporations, for instance BP, Exxon, and other Big Oil concerns, self insure, instead doubling down on legal evasions of accountability.
If only our justice system worked to enforce accountability for everyone equally!
Visit Koch Truths for insights on the lack of limits for corporate greed.
It is the pesky pretense government is sovereign, instead of sovereignty being entirely held by the people, for whom government is just a tool, which causes the misapprehension proven to be so useful to the folks of Greedville

Dan, GHS President and Founder, and Craig, formerly Senior Vice President and the guy who made Dan's take over of the company from Glenn Hightower possible,  are smaller level corporates, subcontractors for the Big Guys. ON HOW THIS HAPPENED
An org chart making these complexities clear will appear in the new edition of GREED - The NeoConning of America.
Craig is now working diligently to make it to the next level, himself, at FireFly CPU.   For some strange reason Craig started using his born name, Allen C(raig) Franklin around the time he started FireFly.  You can see this on the WYSK website, which records for public viewing such details as where the company is incorporated.  FireFly filed its incorporation as a Delaware Limited Liability Company | Wysk # BHX7FLH.  They have six officers, who you can find HERE.

Now, what would we find out about Dan O'Dowd and Craig Franklin if we could position drones to report their most intimate and emotionally vulnerable moments with a well-placed drone which could, possibly, be using software they, themselves, produced?
Dan works very hard to keep his face off the web.  You can check this by Googling him with Images.  He does not even have his name on the Green Hills Software, Inc., website, instead presenting these four guys.  TEAM
Dan's life long ambition is to have more money than Bill Gates.  Craig's ambitions are very different.  You can find out about those HERE.

ARTICLE

By Steven E. Greer, MD
The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) is truly an evil organization for many reasons. For example, they have a large feature section today touting drones as safe friendly ways to take family vacation photos.

Are you kidding me?

The article states, “Flying a drone isn’t just exhilarating; it also fundamentally changed how I think about photography. It is hard to get excited about vintage filters on Instagram after shooting a drone selfie (call it a “dronie”) or panning hillside Napa vineyards at sunrise...”

Then, buried within the much larger article, one cover-your-ass statement goes, “I, too, am concerned about cameras fluttering outside my bedroom window. But we shouldn’t dismiss a technology that has the potential to empower us—safely—to record footage once available only to big-budget Hollywood productions and news choppers. Drones have even been used to record protests in Ukraine, Turkey and other areas. In reality, these consumer drones tend to make terrible spy machines, because most have cameras with wide-angle lenses and their propellers sound like swarm of angry bees. Still, people will think you’re a jerk if you fly one too close.“.  MORE

Italy Tailors Rules To Allow UAVs, Military Aircraft in Civil Airspace

COMMENT -  There are sooo many reasons for Dan to want an office in Italy.  Amy is in Santa Barbara. Oh, yes.  And, of course they want drones in Italy, too.

By TOM KINGTON

Rules of the Road: Italy has established guidelines to allow UAVs, such as its Predator, and military aircraft to share civilian airspace.
Rules of the Road: Italy has established guidelines to allow UAVs, such as its Predator, and military aircraft to share civilian airspace. (Italian Air Force)
ROME — Italy is crafting regulations to manage the use of civilian airspace by military UAVs and aircraft.

While many UAV users are content to focus on how to fly their drones in war zones, where flight regulations are lax or nonexistent, the Italian Air Force has teamed with local civil aviation authorities over the past decade to work out UAV regulations for peacetime.

As well as flying its unarmed Predator or Reaper UAVs in Iraq, the Balkans, Afghanistan and Libya, a 2004 law has allowed Italy to send UAVs to patrol airspace over special events, including a 2007 visit by Russian President Vladimir Putin and the 2009 G-8 gathering.  MORE

Bundy Ranch: DoD Approved Drone Strike? OathKeepers Evacuating?

COMMENT - Now, we will be checking to see what contractors provided the technologies in the drone which will be used.

Last week, we printed a short article with a report from a concerned Patriot in Bunkerville. The gentleman was concerned that a mole was in their midst and seeking to turn supporters against each other. The latest report I got was that, whether a mole is present or not, paranoia seems to be setting in rapidly. Paul Joseph Watson reported last week that some idiots were taking to twitter to suggest a drone strike on the Bundy Ranch. Who would have thought that we would be seriously talking about that this week?

Again, I am going to keep my source secret until given the green light. The man I have been talking to is somewhat high profile and giving any clue of who he is might cause him problems. Here is the latest email I received:

Things at camp bundy are deteriorating quickly. Bundy has taken charge of things, or his bodyguard Ryan. They are now running oathkeepers out and bringing in militia to train under the "Bundy Flag". Oathkeepers received a call 2 nights ago telling them there was an imminent drone strike and to clear out. Turns out they were bringing militia in as they left. A couple of fist fights actually broke out and weapons were drawn.

1 of 2 things is happening. The spook inside this thing is trying to break apart the biggest most organized "militia" on the scene or Cliven Bundy is trying to form an army for whatever reason.

Activist Art Against Drone Killing Redesigns The Landscape in Pakistan

From:  Activist Post

COMMENT - And Green Hills Software, Inc., continues to ring the cash register for killing children.

Joe Wright
Activist Post

The continuing impact of unmanned drones across the target countries of the U.S. has inspired many short videos that attempt to personalize the death and destruction that has been wrought. One of the most poignant is titled "Living Under Drones." This 7-minute video can be seen here.

Another short video which really captures the general lack of compassion and disconnect that drones inspire can be seen in the montage below where the drone chief himself, Barack Obama, laughs it up about the use of predator drones. As his little inside joke is juxtaposed with the heart-breaking reality of the innocents killed by actions Obama has commanded, it further highlights the ruthlessness of remote control death and destruction, as well as the personalities of those in power.

The fact remains that even the warmongering Brookings Institution has concluded that there are 10 civilians killed to every 1 "militant" in Pakistan alone. Obama denies this, and a range of other documented evidence, when he states that only "precision strikes against al Qaeda and their affiliates" are undertaken.

A new form of activist art is taking shape to ensure that human beings should be recognized as more than just "collateral damage" in a war that the vast majority of global citizens have no interest in continuing. This art form aims to literally get right in the face of those who pull the trigger.

The risk of reporting US drone strikes

From:  Al Jazeera

COMMENT - Why do they persist in hitting wedding parties?   Perhaps Dan O'Dowd can tell us.

Last updated: 12 Feb 2014 14:17

Yemen researcher says he received a death threat after investigating deadly wedding-convoy attack.

A photo of alleged victims killed in a December 12, 2013 drone strike in central Yemen [Reprieve]
The disturbing phone call came after Baraa Shiban investigated a drone strike on a wedding party that killed 12 people in central Yemen in December. A clear message was delivered to the human rights researcher over the phone after a major news network reported the story based on his research.

"The caller refused to identify himself and threatened my life if I continued my investigation of the strike," Shiban told Al Jazeera, noting he conducted similar studies of US drone operations in the past, but had never before received death threats.

Shiban works for the UK-based human rights group Reprieve and interviewed survivors two days after the attack. His investigation ascertained that 12 people were killed after four missiles were fired at the convoy. There were also 14 victims with severe wounds; some lost limbs, others their eyes.

Along with the eyewitness testimony, Shiban gained access to video and still images of the alleged victims of the drone strike. Photos of the aftermath of drone attacks - whether in the tribal regions of Pakistan, or in the deserts of Yemen - are rarely captured. Most occur in obscure regions with hostile terrain, making access difficult for journalists and activists.  MORE

Indiana House Committee Approves Anti-Drone Bill By A 6-1 Vote

COMMENT - Despite the many protestations of those who profit the use of drones against Americans is still on the Federal agenda.  Tenth Amendment action is growing.

ARTICLE

Today, an Indiana state house committee gave preliminary approval to a bill which would severely restrict the use of drones within the state.

Introduced by Rep. Eric Allan Koch (R-65), House Bill 1009 (HB1009) “Prohibits the use of unmanned aerial vehicles and tracking devices to conduct warrantless searches,” with very limited exceptions.

HB1009 was referred to the State House Committee on Courts and Criminal Code where a hearing was held this morning. After a short discussion, the bill passed by a vote of 6-1. Voting yes were committee chair, Rep. Jud McMillin (R-68), along with Reps. Pierce, McNamara, Harman, Mahan and Rhoads. The lone no vote was cast by Rep. DeLaney (D-86).

The legislation does include some narrow exceptions to the warrant requirement to allay the fears of law enforcement officials who did not want to be hamstrung in emergency situations when a drone’s use might spell life or death.
